Andrew French
Andrew was the first specialist global Trading Director in the mobile industry. It is his job is to navigate the fragmented and complex mobile ecosystem, working with 125 partner networks and publishers across the world to help clients achieve the best results for their mobile campaigns.
Before joining Somo, Andrew spent 4 years working in media sales where he cut his teeth in the art of selling. He moved to the marketing company AdIQ and for three years helped brands to take their first steps in mobile, building early sites, SMS campaigns and some of the first apps. He worked across all sectors, with clients including Sony Ericsson, The Army, LG and Barclays.
In 2009, Andrew was headhunted to become Head of Sales at Somo where he won several of our first major brands, including Burberry, Audi, Domino’s and online only businesses Groupon, Probability and Zynga. With a need to deliver premium clients a premium level of service, Andrew was chosen to create and lead the new Trading Team. It is this broad experience in strategy and sales which helps him to understand the complex media mix, including ad networks, CPI operators, ad exchanges and working directly with publishers. Today, he personally negotiates with our partners to get the right media at the right price globally.
