Very.co.uk: Hi-jack the High Street
Somo was tasked to communicate the east of shopping at Very.co.uk and persuade shoppers to forgo the high street and shop at Very.co.uk instead.
Using hyper-local geo-targeting, mobile display ads and SMS messages were sent to Very.co.uk’s target demographic when they entered key shopping destinations – reminding stressed out shoppers how quickly and easily they could complete their shopping right there and then on their smartphones. Shop Direct (Very.co.uk parent company) had a record breaking Christmas with sales up YoY. The campaign won Best Use of Location-based Services at the MOMA Awards 2016.
